A Beautiful Day for the Bay

So that's where we walked, finding some new excitement in the midst of the old familiar stuff.

My wife was concerned that two fishermen were fishing right off the beach, where the signs clearly say (in 5 languages) NO FISHING

I told her fishermen don't read signs so they can't be blamed for fishing there.

Lots of ships going to/fro on the big bay

and foolishness in the small bay. Don't tell the kids, but those are kayak paddles, not stand-up paddles. They are too short:

In the time we were there, the first girl fell about 10 times. Their backs must be aching.

Fifty Bucks is Fifty Bucks. I'm not asking for a chopper ride; I've done it enough.

These guys are doing alternating patrols of the harbor area.

Helicopters watch your landing gear, the bamboo is reaching for them

A few women came onto the beach, threw out their towels and began to slather themselves in sun screen lotion. I did not notice, nor did I touch the camera until we were safely past...

Honest. We walked by and didn't see anyone sunbathing.

Smart dad out there on the water.

The beach from the other end.

Stomach is growling.

More frivolity, Mrs C wonders why we don't bring our kayaks out on the water anymore.

We wander up and down the streets that run parallel to the water and we look at the flowers.

I did spot a hummingbird but wasn't prepared to zoom as fast as he did...

Please come along to Part 2 where we find our way back to the car.
