a few questions for me perhaps? I certainly would appreciate it.
First of all the case is beautifully polished. The rubber strap is about the best in the business I think. It must be rubber over leather but I'm not quite sure. The deployant clasp is really innovative as well. The shorter side of the strap tucks in under the clasp instead of overlapping the other piece. As a result, when it's closed there is no overlapping strap and it's a very clean look; almost uninterrupted save for the buckle itself which is really well done also. The buckle has doulbe ridges on it to match the Leman case. And the "B" on it is raised; very nice.
My questions are as follows:
1. Is this a column wheel chronograph mechanism?
2. I have looked at Marvin Silverman's beautiful photos of his LE RG Flyback and this one differs in a few respects. It says on the rotor that it is a "U.S. Limited Edition, No.17/50. The rotor is not gold colored so I am wondering if the rotor is indeed white gold or steel? The rotor on Mr. Silverman's watch in his photos is gold colored.
Also, the 3 subdial hands are all tipped in a red color as is the central chrono hand. Again, Mr. Silverman's subdials do not appear tipped in red.
Can someone shed some light on this for me? Is this a different "limited edition" of 50 pieces or is this the same edition with some slight modifications?
Any help in answering these questions would be greatly appreciated.
Sure is a beautiful timepiece!

Ed Tonkin
