A quick visit to Armin Strom
Last week I was in Biel and had some time on my hands. A quick call to Armin Strom resulted in a rdv in 10 minutes to see what is new. Here the pictures.
The Royal Flush is a tourbillon in an 18k rose gold case with a custom bridge and barrel engraving for the card playing crowd.
Note the Armin Strom typical visible dial side winding which animate the open dial design and add to the visible depth.
The One Week Raw is the direct result of some discussions at BaselWorld 2014. Serge Michel, Armin Strom CEO, was wearing a prototype watch with a "workshop" decoration. Several people complimented him on his watch and the discussions started. I really like this decoration with its contrast between rougher, random surface patterns and the perfectly polished angling, very convincing. We will see how the market reacts, but I like it. Note also the discreet use of color contrast between the ruthenium and rhodium plating.
