Damnedest thing is, I'd thought about going to what will almost certainly turn out to be his last show.

The news of Tom Petty's passing added to an already somber day.
The sun will rise tomorrow. But Tom will be missed, as well as all those from LV.
RIP.
What is happening lately, so many greats leaving us. Not to mention the terrible insanity that is man-made.

Saw him with the Heartbreakers in '99 . . .
. . . at the Hollywood Bowl. He played there a week ago; I'd made plans to see that show which didn't pan out. Literally the last chance for anyone to see him perform . . .
So sad. Passing of a great musician and singer-songwriter.
Listened to a couple hours of Tom Petty tunes last night, which was intended to soften the blow, but only served to make his death more impactful. RIP Tom. John
Tom Petty was a great artist.
