An early Chistmas present...
to my self. I just located a NOS Lange Cabaret in WG with slate blue dial and old style strap. It was just delivered by the big brown truck this am. The authorized dealer in NYC even included a brand new style strap although I prefer the look of the original. What a great experience I had with the salesperson who was extremely helpful and knowlegeable. I feel so lucky to have found this particular metal and dial combination as I understand it was discontinued some time ago. Lucky for me it wasn't too popular as I was given a great incentive to purchse it; ^)
I am ,however, feeling a little guilty as it was originally intended as a present for my brother's 40th birthday. When I opened the box and saw this beauty I just couldn't resist...I felt like Gollum in Lord of The Rings: "my precious..." I know, I know I'm losing it! In any event, my brother has a soft spot for Pateks so I'm now searching for a WG Gondola. Well it least that will be easier to find than than the Cabaret: )
