IWC

Another Italian IWC, this time a Mark XII

Travelling to Italy for my Summer holiday, I had to bring my other IWC as well (see mu 3713 post for the first one).

This one is a Mark XII but in a special version dedicated to one of the owners of the Italian IWC distributor, issued in the late 90s.

The special part is a titanium case, a dark blue dial with gray markings and GL on the dial, replacing the normal ‘Mark XII’. GL are the initials of one of the two owners, Giorgio Lautado. There is a similar version marked EF, just without the date function, EF being the initials of the other owner. Both made in 100 pieces an dboth containing an ETA movement instead of the JLC movement of the regular model.

Anyway, here it is enjoying the Italian countryside.
