Another military legend - the Heuer 1550SG
The same trip that got me Lemania 15 TL nightmares (here: www.watchprosite.com for details), also resulted in me finally getting the opportunity to try the legendary German Bundeswehr Heuer 1550SG.
And while it would appear to be largely similar to the Zenith Cairelli or our P15 at first glance it does feel subtly but definitely different.
The downside is that I now need to figure out if I am getting into the game and whether the Australian navy's tastes were better than the German military's ones...
Any opinions much appreciated!

The heuer has a valjoux 230 but the lemania 15 TL is qualitatively better, after al ldepends of the condition of the movement and how well it was serviced
But also the finish in most of the valjoux used in Heuer chronos of the 50's-60's is pretty rough and utilitarian to say at least. Not to mention that the valjoux 230 has a mere 38 of power reserve, that isa little bit short. Check the accuracy and how we...

Have not gotten to the movement testing stage just yet and it looks like a third candidate will win over both of these And then I will really largely need to stop for the year...
Two watches that you shouldn't neglect came to my mind as well
A gallet officer chronograph or a gallet mutichron another possibility is to buy a vintagte zenith el primero espada, good luck with your decision
Will look into them...
