As Good as it Gets
Remember the movie? This is the Rolex 1675 GMT version of it. It got this baby just before Christmas.
But just like Gollum, I’d like to sit with it in my cave for a bit and talk to it privately. (Not as long as Nico, but still.)
I just can’t believe my luck and my friend’s help in landing this pièce unique if I may call it that.
As you know this 1675 guilt version was only produced for a year and had it’s own movement developed from the one in the legendary 6542.
Spider dial, tropical with saturations reminding of a renaissance painting, short run; the full package.
You can always recognise the short run as the “superlative” is not written on the dial, thus called OCC dial. Serviced 2022 by one of the industry experts in the field.
A big thank to a dear friend who made all this possible. I have the GMT on California time always for that reason.
And the cherry on the cake? Box and original papers from April 1961. Watch is manufactured 1960.
Don’t collectors get this Gollum feeling sometimes?😂
