Afternoon everyone, looking for some thoughts and advice.....
Many years ago I had a datejust (36mm) which I wore every day, but then fell in love with Panerai (my current watch of choice). Having sold the datejust earlier this year, I would like once again to have a rolex in my collection.
The watch I both covet and admire is the daytona 116520 with a white baton - here in the UK they are very difficult to get a hold of. AD's will not take any orders due to the waiting list..... I see many on various internet sites, all at above list price.
This will be my forever watch and one that I will wear often (rotating with my panerai and a speedmaster I also own) - is this the one to have? And if so, does anyone know of any UK authorised dealers that can get a hold of one for me?
Failing that and casting my net wider - I am holidaying in Australia and Hong Kong later this year - is it possible that a AD there may be able to get me one?
Any comments and thoughts are appreciated. And also to throw in a curve - ball would you get the 116520 or go for the GMT Master II ref 116713 instead?
