BaselWorld 2013 : Armin Strom
BaselWorld 2013 : Armin Strom
Armin Strom showed their new automatic micro-rotor the "Gravity" and the series versions of their new tourbillon.
As for all their models they are available in 4 decoration versions, Air, Water, Earth and Fire.
The Gravity is movement is based on the one week movement with its double barrel. The space of one of the barrels is dedicated to the micro-rotor. The winding is uni-directional, the pawls and rachet on the rotor axle. As with all the Armin Strom movements the magic is all visible from the dial side.
Armin Strom is continuing their path, determinedly expanding their model line, advancing in their desire to be a completely in house manufacturer. Their decoration gets better each year, the dial finishing in particular has made a big leap since I last saw them last year.
The watches from Armin Strom are worth a good hard look.
