Big Big Mistake on the Submariner IMO
The only thing I like about the new sub is the maxi-dial. The crown guards are clipped (not pointy like previous years) B I G mistake as the watch looks less proportioned that way. I always hated the crown-guards on the GMT and these so remind me of it. And I seriously do not like the shiny ceramic bezel on this dive watch.. Any one of us who is a diver can attest that shiny watches have undesireably consequences in the presence of predator fish. Rolex has not done its homework and made this tool watch a charicature of itself. I long for that sweet understated matte black of the steel. Any word on the no-date sub.. Have they screwed that one up too or is this just an upmarket glam version?
