Chopard LUC XPS in white gold black dial
This white gold black dial version - super cool and understated! I saw it at an AD recently and notice it is discreet and classic yet has an element of fun, maybe with the font of the numerals. The black color of the dial is very black but with a bit of bluish tint (maybe due to the AR crystal). Anyway I feel black dials are cooler than silver/white dials - my personal preference these days as I probably have too many white/silver dial watches.
The movement with the micro rotor is very well finished - alas I didn't manage a good shot of it.
What do fellow PuristS think of this version of the LUC XPS? I also enquired about the new Fairmined rose gold brown dial version but was told by the Chopard boutique in the airport that this is only by special order (ie cannot try it before you decide to buy)
Cheers
Robin

Underrated

I've been eyeing several dress watches. The VC Traditionnelle was at the top of the list for some time (thanks to your many pics Robin!) but Chopard's LUC range is making it tough to decide. The XPS and Quattros are just so beautiful! Fantastic finishing ...
Very nice

If my next watch is to be a dress one, this is definitely one of the short list candidates. I suppose an XPS for me, too - even if the lack of the second hand makes it purer (but not a COSC certified chronometer that way IIRC, if that matters to you).
