Whilst researching Jubilee bracelets for my 1500 restoration project (see Newbie Objective & Strategy ) I came across this one being offered for sale. It was described as a 15cm vintage stainless steel Rolex Jubilee band with bracelet ref 6248 19 m12 and 555 end links.
The first thing that struck me were the symmetrical swirls either side of the “Rolex” name. Secondly, the lack of a crown on the outside of the clasp. Thirdly the quality of the underside just seemed too perfect and didn’t look right. Finally, I looked up the 6248 reference number in The Rolex Report and it did not appear.
I appreciate I am v new to this and these things are not straight forward but I thought this was interesting enough to bring to the forum so I could ask: is this a dodgy bracelet?
