Email From Lange and Heyne: Dear all, a few days ago

I posted a pic of a beautiful Tourbillon and people all took their guesses as to its origin. It was a nice surprise when Johannes Janke from Lange and Heyne sent me an email commenting on the thread from the Purist. Usually I will not openly share things from private emails, but he told me in the email to feel free to share it with the other Purists. Here it is:

"The Tourbillon was built by Marcos father Rolf Lang. 2 years before Marco founded the manufacture. He makes special pieces. Its for a big Pocket watch. The diameter of the movement is over 50mm! There are two cases available, the silver one you can see in the catalogue. Its a flying Tourbillon based on the idea of Alfred Helwig Glash?tte. The two Barrels are in serials. The construction is to be supposed to fit a perpetual calendar. Interesting are the reaction of the collectors... They are right with the style of the movement, because the old watchmaking in Dresden is more inspired by the English watches of the 18-century than the Swiss watches. So you can easily think its an english watch..."

Ok for all you daring guessers. I do have to say that with all the beautiful watch pics I have seen over time in the auction catalogues and on the Purist, this watch could be the nicest. A true masterpiece of art and function. Here is the pic again all.
