Dear all I just got back home from the SIHH at Geneva with millins of scans and am preparing a write up for next week.
However i thought you might be interested on my impressions on Vacheron's new offerings:
- Chronograph Malte: a watch I didn't want to like, hated it in pictures but it looks really really good in real. The dial has a beautiful guilloch? dial, the round button pushers fit perfectly well on the case and the finish of the movement is exquisit.
- Demi Plate in rose gold: simple, elegant classic
- Patrimony Grande Taille: beautiful case and dial, very 50s but why in a 40 mm case? Too big in my opinion
- 1972 Cambr?: an elongated version of the current 1972, looks very much like the original one from the 70s, exists only in quartz.
- Hommage aux Grands Voyageurs: WONDERFUL, I loved this piece: a wondering hours (Star Wheel type)on a 2 level enamel dial...pure mechanical poetry.
