Hi All
I've now had my Urushi dialed Seiko for five years, and it's been worn every day. Sometimes all day & I've even slept with it on other days only for a couple of hours. No matter what, I've wanted to wear it each and every day, it still is the default choice.
I've said this many times, but the dial is amazing & it belies the price of the watch, it could happily be a dial for a Grand Seiko. It's also a watch that in a sense has saved me money, as I've not been tempted ( enough ) to get any of the more recent interesting dial iterations of this model - though I was close with the blue shippo dialed version.
Pretty much all my original comments still stand from when I got until now. Those being as I said the fantastic dial, that for me it still feels like a large watch & is quite thick. And that it was also one of my better choices.
It also started a new habbit, that soon after getting it I realised I wasn't wearing much else - so started wearing two watches at a time. Now that's the new normal & it feels odd when I only wear one - even work has got used to it & no-one comments anymore.
A few shots of it out & about

At some point I'll stop wearing it every day, and it can have a rest & with five years of constant wearing it probably deserves it. It won't mean I enjoy any the less & indeed if having a break might prove that it could be the only watch, if I ever had to go to the position of just one watch.
It's been a joy & pleasure to own, I hope you've enjoyed having your Seikos as much as I've enjoyed have my Urushi.
Cheers
JML
