I think it?s interesting, because GP is (re-)covering a market that used to be very important for the brand for many decades. The ties to South America are deep; one may recall Constant Girard-Perregaux?s brother-in-law Henri Perregaux, a watchmaker himself, gave up watchmaking around 1865 and, after becoming a partner of the GP brand, moved to Buenos Aires where he was head of the distribution. So there?s quite some tradition and several of the pieces in the GP Museum once were sold to South America.
In this sense, good news for all GP fans on that side of the pond!
Greetings from germany,
Peter
