Rolex

Good Deal???

I have and mostly wear Panerai's but had this vintage Rolex just sitting around for years. I am a pretty good customer at one of the Big "T" watch stores, so when I got the call about them getting in one of the new GMT Master II ceramic, I figured why not, but I definitely thought they would have offered me a bit more for the vintage piece.(I almost decided to just keep it, but figured why, since I'm pretty sure i'll never wear it, as 36mm just feels way to small these days). I wish I knew the reference number but if anyone can tell from this terrible pic if I should have gotten more, or if I made a fair deal, I would appreciate it. I would just hate to think I just let go of something really rare and valuable. But wouldn't they be honest with me about the piece??? I ended up getting 2k for it, against the 7k for the new GMT. Which I have to say, I am really digging. I also have the large 40mm YM 16622, and I used to think it was my favorite Rolex, but now I think I may like my new one better. Both really nice, and so different. Here's the pic of the vintage I traded in. I would really appreciate any expert input, mostly just to put me at ease, that I didn't just trade in some rare gold mine piece. It had a pie pan criss cross dial, with sharks teeth markers, and rotating date window black/red. And it was a manual wind, which I believe is pretty rare for Rolex? Thanks a bunch!!!
