Jaeger-LeCoultre

good news for Master Compressor owners. Valentino Rossi has won his 8th world championship

i'm not a fan of sports personality ltd edition watches as a good many of them will be forgotten about in a few years making the watches of limited value, but the Rossi '46' master Compressor chrono might well be the exception to the rule as today in Japan he became the most successful motocyclist of all time even beating Agostini's record. 8 world championships, 5 in the premier class(moto gp). he's the only motorcyclist to win a championship on 125cc, 250cc, 500cc 2 strokes plus 1000cc and 800cc 4 stroke moto gp bikes. i've lost count but he's won over 80(84 i think) races in his career.

i would say that he may go down in history as an Icon along with only a few others. sad to say that due to the minority appeal of motorcycle racing he wont be a household name like Schumacher or lewis Hamilton sad

perhaps his watch is one worth having, but i still prefer the Amvox II(i also really wanted casey Stoner on the Ducati to win, but if you keep crashing, you just get bruises not race wins).

just a short post to indicate that JLC made a good choice in their sports personality.
