am on the verge of trading my 5070g, with cash to boot, for a 5970R. I
am also considering the original dial 5270g, as the prices have now
fallen to levels well below the 5970. I was hoping for some advice it
general. I know these are very personal decisions but for me anyway,
this is a significant amount of money. Thanks!

Be sure you won't make a mistake with either of these two beauties. They carry quite different an interpretation of this iconic model from Patek Philippe (i.e. the Chronograph Perpetual Calendar). I won't choose yet but while the classical aspect of the 5...

I owned a 5270G series one, a 5970P and a 5970R; if I was starting a PP collection again, the only one I would buy back would be the 5970P.
