Hi all,
This weekend I visited a local clock makerwho turned out to be an GP lover too (although he was wearing a white faced IWC Doppel...
). He told me a great story about having visited the GP manufacture and villa Marguerite during his training. He visited a couple of other famous manufactures but the GP visited impressed him most ! Anyway, after a nice chat he left to fetch something for me and when he returned he showed me two GP books. Actually one is an old catalogue (white, thin complete with price list) which is very nice because all the older models and refs are shown. The other is a book entitled "Girard-Perregaux, horloger par vocation" and dated 1991. It contains a very complete history of GP as well as stunning pictures as an overview of the collection. Not sure if this book has been for sale or if it was an extra catalogue....... If you can find one it's worth it !
Btw, there is another GP in press at this moment but still not available yet. Something to watch out for.
Cheers,
Mark
