I just purchased a NOS Ferrari Split Second Chronograph and would like information on the watch and movement. Besides the Ferrari lingo, it is signed Chronographe & Rattrapante, Serial Number 28 of a limited edition, Ref. 9015 and the movement is marked 31 Jewels, 8290. Is this an in-house Girard-Perregaux moevement, and how many in the edition? One article I found on the net written in Italian (which I don't read) indicated it has a 45 hour reserve. I'd like as much detailed info as possible.
I have seen this watch for sale for prices between $6650 and $12,500, with a list price claimed of $28,950. I paid $7,600 for the watch, and wondered why such a mark down from list price. Thanks for all replies. Bert
