Happy easter holidays, with a glimpse over the fence...
Dear enthusiasts,
usually mixing up things is not my preference, but in this case please do feel kindly invited for a "glimpse over the fence".
Well, i do realize for some there´s only one watch brand 
But then, it´s probably not a big secret Girard-Perregaux is dear to me and this year, among some "big pieces" and stunning surprises there are two recent developments i´d like to share here too. Vice versa, i´ll do some "cross-marketing" on our GP Forum too
The first new introduction listens to the austere name MICROVAR:
GP just introduced their free-sprung escapement, something Lange fans are well familiar with from watches like the Double Split and Richard Lange.

The other interesting news may be GP to unveil an in-house enamel-making department, focussing on elaborate enamel dials:
True full-fire enamel dials make for a very rare breed today and these cloisoneé and champlevé dials are even more rare. There are few brands (if so, actually none that i recall) to maintain an in-house facility producing these very elaborate pieces of art, so this may be interesting:
