Heavy Duty...
We hear a lot about "military watches," but after 33 years in uniform, I'm still not sure what that means. There is no "standard issue" watch in the U.S. military (that I'm aware of) and if there were, I'd probably still be inclined to go off the beaten path. In this case, with my Hublot Oceanographic 4000. It looks and feels heavy duty, and I fear not climbing in and out of armored vehicles or aircraft as I'm more concerned about damaging the vehicles than my watch ; ) Sure, It's acquired a few minor nick and dings, but they're come about honestly and I wear them as battle scars.
While I don't think Hublot will ever win a contract as the "lowest bidder," I still enjoy wearing this piece quite frequently. It's a heavy duty watch for....heavy duty!

Fit for the job!

This one looks very good and massive - just perfect for the job! I also agree with you about the "standard issue" - there are many phony "official marine" and "official US Army" watches out there, most of which are cheap Chinese produce. Every idiot that ...
