Jaeger-LeCoultre

Help again from the purists community

Hi all,
I'm a bit new (though not to this site as I have been reading and learning a lot from everyone here) to JLC and would appreciate if some of you can share a bit of your thoughts/experience about JLC watches and there's a particular one I'm looking at right now. It seems one of the characteristics about JLC is that most of their watch cases are very polished, and as such, scratches are easier to happen and much more visible (and quicker) than those "matte" like cases. Has this always been their style? How do you feel with this kind of finishing?

I am also comparing between the Master Moon and the Master Calendar. Concept for these two watches is the same, except for the extra power reserve for the Calendar. Also not to mention, the build is quite different between these two. Both are really nice and the sizes...., well not too bad either. Is there anything else vastly different between these two? Thoughts, decision and why?

I have previously explored on the Master 8 days in PG and had some helpful feedbacks from here. I decided for the moment to have a bit more bangs for the bucks spent, plus I also like the higher complication from the Master Moon/Calendar. They are also aesthetically alright. Is this the right way to decide on a watch? Am I missing something here? Perhaps the "elders" can open my eyes to a more rational approach.

Much appreciated,
Tommy
