I've been hunting for a E159 for a while now, but I don't know what and where to look to tell whether it is original. Could anyone give me some advice?

Well, it is not a E 159, but a 159. It doesn't have a screw back case, but a snap back one.

I have always thought that the "water-repellent" cases, as the JLC themselves put it in the vintage ads, did not refer to the screw-down case backs. Our famous Blomman has even a photo of the box that his E159 came in and it is a snap back. blommanwatchre...
