I believe that we are all here to share information....

Share informaton means that if I know something and I believe that most memebers here would like to know it too, then I will post it and share it (provided that it does not violate any rules of thePurists). I think we are not here just for the official press release information. (Please correct me if I am wrong).

Personally, I think comments from famous people in the watch industry, e.g. from Mr Stern; or Mr Stern's friend; or Mr Hayek; or one of the 10
judges (from all over the world) of the Grand Prix d"horlogerie de Geneve, about how PP is doing these days are interesting.

I know that posting link to other web site is forbidden (so I didn't do that...) but why private e-mail is also not allowed?

I do see a lot of postings here asking about discount, which shop to go, etc... all are fine with PM but why not this time?

Peter, I do understand that you may want to help the people that you know (well... I might do the same too if I were you...) but I strongly believe that the same rules should be applied to all people. Locking the thread is fine but why you remove the PM request totally? Could you please kindly let me know the reasons behind (you can PM me if you prefer)?

Suitbert, may I ask what is your opinion about my posting regarding a famous people in the watch industry commenting about PP? Shall we continue the discussion here? Or should it be banned totally?
