Jaeger-LeCoultre

I have found my Watch, finally!!!

I have been watch collecting/trading for the past four years, never really satisfied with what was on my wrist or on the winder.

Here is my trail(Sorry long post)

Started with an Omega Constelation from a grey market dealer which I thought was an automatic but was in fact a quartz(Yes, I had much to learn)I then went to an Omega Seamaster Pro(James Bond Version of course, because now I knew about automatics versus quartz, chrononmeter vs chronongraph). However the more I read, it was an Omega and I needed more, the Rolex Datejust seemed just right. My wife took one look at it and said no, this was not me. Sooo.. back I go the next was a Rolex SeaDweller, great watch, along the way I have also had UN GMT, Breitling B1, Sinn 157, Omega Triple Date Speedmaster,Tudors,Limes, Rolex GMT to name a few.

I kept reading, learning all the while coming to the conclusion that while Rolex makes a great watch it is primarily a watch for people who can afford an expensive watch but don't really no what their buying or why. I don't want to oversimplyfy this conclusion it is merely a generalization IMHO.

Then I found it, my first true love and it was love at first sight. A pink gold MGT. I left the store that I had seen it in because I had just bought an IWC GST Chrono. I know it may sound silly but I couldn't stop thinking about the MGT. This week all Rolexes are gone and the MGT is on my wrist as I type, I am impressed, my co-workers are looking at in puzzlement, huh.., JLC never heard of them, a slow smile crosses my face.

I am an extermely happy and proud new JLC MGT owner and being my first gold wacth it is truly stunning yet understated at the same time.

Thanks for letting me get this out of my system.
