There are a handful of examples where I find fitting but often it's abused IMHO and the result is less, rather than more. Btw. you also have the wrist to pull this off!
I've go something on my radar and if that will work out it will mean no more watches for quite some time. Or sell some off... and I'd rather not do the latter.
Let me try this tack: if you could buy an original "Black Penny" stamp, for a reasonable price, would you buy a..modern..re-make? A tourist would buy the newer/cheaper one, I guess. A purist/collector would buy the original. No?
the first MN was never produced and was a 53mm model. The 42mm. 5218-301A is as original as they get. The PAM300 is a remake of the original (if the original had been produced). A bit convoluted but that's just about correct.
Anyway as they are both identical (apart from serial/ref. numbers?) I feel they did a good job. And if I couldn't find a NOS from '93 for more or less the same price I would happily be the tourist
