I would like to eat my hat
Got to see the Vianney Halter Goldfeil model today. I must admit that from the photos I had seen (press or here on ThePuristS) the watch was not what I would call attractive...I found the design somewhat too multi directional!
I had the occasion of seeing one today and I would like to publically eat my hat! Its a very, very interesting watch. I won't say its beautiful because its too quircky to be callled that but the design is extramely elaborate and all the elements fit in with a perfect "click".
It comes in a beautiful wood presentation box:
The watch features minutes and seconds hand in the center of the dial, the hours on the top left and the moonphase on the top right apperture:
The case is very different from what we are accustomed to seeing Vianney doing but no one other than him could have done it. Hammered surface on the "dial side":
