Improving the Master Compressor

Friends -- Some thoughts after lovingly caressing and hovering over my Master Compressor for a while:

1) The lack of a glow in the dark time-begin wedge on the rotating bezel is a significant minus; virtually every other quality mechanical watch with both a rotating bezel and a glow in the dark face has the glowing wedge, or a dot in the wedge. Bottom line is that the wearer should be able to track time lapse at night.

2) Thicker, more scratch-resistant crystal. I have seen Master Compressor crystals that, after a year of daily wear, look like they've been dragged across the desert behind a military vehicle.

3) Get the tilt out of the date display, make it flat and easier to read. Perhaps a beveled edge to the date window will help.

4) The rotating bezel should have some sort of single or occasional detente or fine click-adjustment. Also, why is the bezel crown lacking the "Toric Screw" that we enjoy so much on the other two crowns? Yes, it has three seals, and yes, those three are about one to two more seals than found on most other water-resistant watches, but still...it is a design flaw that raises one question that then leads to more and bigger questions about the overall design and quality of this watch.

Anyhow, it bothers ne to say these things about my favorite product from my best watch company, but say them I must. As a real JLC fan and champion, I want their products to be as good as they should be.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Josh
