Incoming. Another pair of Cartier couple watches for wife and me.
Wife and I have already had a pair of Santos 100 as couple watches.
We dropped by an AD last Friday, and my wife said: "Why don't we take a closer look at the Cartier Ballon Bleu? I saw it on the magazine every now and then and quite like it."
So we tried on the 33mm and 42mm model respectively, and we were both impressed!
Here they are, our second pair of Cartier couple watches, to celebrate our forthcoming anniversary. 
This is the most compact and wearable 42mm watch that I've ever worn, thanks to the very short lugs, balanced and elegant design, and its lightweightness (is there such a word?).
It wears like a 39 or 40mm watch, quite close to how the 38mm Grand Seiko SBGW253 wears on my wrist.

Imho the Cartier BB is an outstanding timepiece with an elegant face and superb case back.
Agree. And not many people paying attention to the slightly domed case back.

Actually I find most Cartier's regular production watches to be good choices of couple watches.

A beautifully executed design from Cartier. I would not wear many of the watches that I like, simply because I don't feel like doing so, but I can't help liking them objectively. Cartier has many lovely models, and those BB are among them to me. Congrats....

I also “like” a lot of watches. 😄 But as you said, liking doesn’t necessarily lead to owning. The ones that stay in our collection must have a special appeal to us 😊
