I was hoping someone on these forums could help me. I just inherited an early 20th century Patek Phillippe pocketwatch, which has been passed down for generations. I'm not sure which generation it started with, but it luckily has my initials monogrammed on the back ![]()

Does anyone have any information about this pocketwatch? Years they were produced, model name if it had one, etc.?
I'm not interested in selling it, but I'd like to know roughly how much it is worth so I can insure it. Its in perfect working order, and it shows very little wear / scratches.
Finally, I've seen pictures of similar pocketwatches with the back open. Do you need tool to open the back to see the mechanisms inside? If you need tools or you can damage the watch I'm not going to bother.
