Is Ref.96 the First Calatrava?
Does anyone know the history of ref 96? What's before and what's after?
I also notice some dial has Champleve enamel printing with 'Patek Phillipe' on top and 'Genve' below,
while some have no Champleve enamel printing but with the lettering 'Patek Phillipe and Co' printed.
What's the difference between the 2 and is there a particular timeline for the difference?
And I also noted from Antiquorum that some vintage watches dial are reprinted.
What exactly does reprinted mean and what process does that involve?
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hi Cl. The dates of the 96 start from the early 1930's
However I have seen earlier pieces with no reference number only a batch number eg 17. I believe they are earlier but have not seen the extract. As for the dials I have an early PP with PP & cie but most have PP Geneve on them . Some have swiss at 6 o clo...
