I had to send back the Malte Small Seconds to Vacheron Constantin today. I enjoyed my time with it and I have taken some good photos for the forthcoming review. I took a side by side photo with my Patrimony Contemporaine. While a 4 mm difference between round watches has a dramatic effect on our perception of size, the same does not apply when comparing a 40 mm round watch with a 36 mm tonneau watch:
They have a similar presence on the wrist.

It must have been very difficult to have parted with such a lovely watch. However, I do tend to beleive that it is better to have made its acquiaintance then never having know it. I am sure that it spent good time on your wrist. Best regards, George

I am in Geneva right now and unfortunately I won't have time to visit the Maison! As for getting the chance to wear one of these watches, there is the old fashioned way: just buy it! (I do that too, to be fair) Bill
