It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…
Three weeks after bringing my Omega Planet Ocean in for repair due to an hour hand that refused to pass the numeral nine, I picked it up today and so far so good. The bad news is that today I noticed that the pusher that advances the moon display on my JLC Reverso Tribute Moon fails to move the disc. That same Reverso was sent off to the factory for repair last May for another issue. Although I find Reversos one of the true icons of horology, I’m thinking of selling it once it is repaired.

Other than the Zenith EP, I've never had an issue with a new watch . . .
. . . from GO, Omega, or Grand Seiko. Issues cropped up after several years, but not in the first few years of ownership. Might just be the luck of the draw. Art

I don’t know if you’re lucky or I’m not but I’ve had a number of watches that had problems right out of the box. One minute in my hands and the next gone to the spa.
Several were from a brand whose name starts with a U but other brands as well. My wife thinks I should get a QC job in the industry. Cheers Mitch
