Jaeger Lecoultre Master Ultra Thin Calendar: A 2015 Novelty we didn't often discussed.
When I look back at the 2015 collection, I have the strong feeling some pieces are stars, such as the Master Calendar Météorite, or the Master Control Black, without forgetting the absolute star of the year, the Geophysic Uinversal Time and True Second.
We'll come back to these in a special post.
But here, I wanted to high light a watch we didn't often discuss, since is unveiling: The MUT Calendar!
Just a picture to show its plastic beauty.
Beautiful and important, because this case ( and all the MU case superior or equal to 39 mm ) would be a fantastic heir to the current and outdated Master Control case.
Such a profile is just sublime.
And what to say about the dial? Top classic. Top elegant.
The only reserve I would have is the white gold case. Change it for a steel case, and it may be a hit!

I would like to see a Yellow/Gold moon,
but this is only a minor gripe which in no way affect the overall beauty of the watch.

Yes, the silver moon works more in harmony and coherence with the whole color theme.
Most of the beautiful novelties from JLC of the recent years
are in gold , I can hardly understand why.

This way it definitely makes sense to have a silver moon instead of a gold one. Thank you for reminding us the blackened nickel hands and indices.
An absolutely stunning watch. The face is just amazing.
The shape of the indices, in combination with color and proportion, against the sand grained dial, the result is that for me this calendar eclipses all others except maybe the meteorite. The two are playing a different game, and both play it well. I agree...
