Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Septantième. One picture to celebrate its 12th anniversary.
2007 was a good year for me. The 2007 SIHH was one of the most brilliant for Jaeger Lecoultre, and this is the year I got the Master Minute Repeater and the... Reverso Septantième, obliging me to follow a serious diet after such a " Doublé ".
I had to sell a lot of pieces to fund both of them, as they came in less than two weeks. An opportunity I couldn't miss.
The Reverso Septantième is a watch I was running after since its unveiling, but the retail was substantial, let's say it this way.
There is one thing I am not sure... I doubt Jaeger Lecoultre made all the 500 pieces of the limited edition. 500 was too much for a watch like this. 125 or 200 would have been better. But here again, it is only my guess, based on the fact that I didn't see that many on the market since the unveiling. And when you make a quick research, as I just made it, only two are coming out for sale, in platinum.
The Reverso Septantième has two big assets. It is a charming watch, and it is a watch " of the firsts ".
First Reverso with this big XGT case which will survive only few years.
First Reverso with a 18 Kt white gold movement for the platinum, and rose gold movement for the rose gold version, with an extra bonus, a lovely swan neck.
First Reverso ( and first Jaeger Lecoultre, by the way ) using the 8 Days movement.
First Jaeger Lecoultre to use the Big Date.
Yes, the Reverso Septantième is a star among the stars...

A watch I brought with me for some nice trips, and which I will take during my short trip to come...
A lovely companion, which is a great member of my top Jaeger Lecoultre collection, among with the Duometre à Chronographe and the Master Minute Repeater.
Happy 12th, my dear Septantième.
Best,
Nicolas
