I had to keep the secret so long that I forgot to post it yesterday, end of the embargo.
Jaeger Lecoultre decided to release a small batch of 50 pieces of this PVD black Tribute To Deep Sea Alarm.
I let you judge it:
This time, without faux patina for the indices and hands.
I am not convinced at all. I find it cold and weird looking. But it will certainly please to others. Vive la différence.

What I especially like are the points you mentioned. I want my watch to acquire that patina and not come with it pre-fitted It’s certainly different and not so much like the original out of the box but I really like it. Boutique only?

The PVD deep sea alarm will definitely appeal to those who like the Cermet deep sea chrono but found it a little too big at 44mm. What I’m a little surprise is the use of PVD instead of Cermet or full ceramic for that case. Best, David ...

I think it is just a new Era of JLC. Just like the new Polaris. I believe everyone is refreshing their design Blancpain, Breguet Marine, even the classic like Rolex, Lange, VC but in a very soft subtle way.

I much prefer the "original" reedition, it has the retro flavor this one hasn't. On the contrary this blackened sibling looks sportier and modern. Anyway, let's wait for April 1st to end. :P Thanks for sharing. Vte

Is the case PVD stainless steel or is it that Cermet material they used
for the Deep Sea Chronograph? And is the crystal plexi or sapphire? And finally the price? Sorry for all the questions my friend I hope you and your family are having a Happy Easter!

I didn't respond earlier as I knew (99.999%) this was an April Fool's joke. I wanted to let it play out in the JLC community In reality, I would be disappointed in JLC if they did something like this (and I'm fairly certain they wouldn't). Cheers, John
