... and here are my very personal impressions:
* The 5960 (inhouse chronograph) is stunning! If you don't mind the blue and the red color, this is a great watch, nice size, impressive face, extremely stylish.
* The 5104 (self winding minute repeater, perpetual calendar, retrograde date) looks cheap and almost like a kids watch to me. Didn't impress me at all.
* The 5396 (annual calendar) is in the style of the 5296. If you like that, you will love it. I personally don't like the face.
* The 5140 (perpetual calendar) is the perfect watch in my eyes. The slightly larger case makes it look more pleasant (but not too contemporary), the slightly adjusted face looks more balanced, overall an impressive and stunning appearance.
* This is the same for the 5130 (world timer), I really like the slighly larger case, but I am not yet used to the new round shaped hand.
* The 5119 (classic Calatrava) looks better in the larger case.
* The 5135 (Gondolo in Platin) looks SUPER and much better than the other gold versions, especially if you don't like the numbers "3" and "9" and/or you believe these give it a too modern and not timeless look. The Platin version looks much more elegant and timeless. I was very impressed by it.
* The 5033 (Gondolo minute repeater) is stunning!!! And the same is true as said for the Platin version above. Timeless and elegant. Very balanced appearance.
* That's why I also love the 5146 in Platin (annual calendar). No numbers makes the face look much more balanced, elegant and impressive. The grey face with Platin looks "wow".
So, I walked by these watches a couple of times: My clear favorites: 5140, 5135P and 5146P.
Just my personal impression! It was fun being in Basel and seeing so many cool watches, but only to the Patek booth I returned 3 times...
Best regards,
Frank.
