Konstantin Chaykin at BaselWorld 2010

Konstantin Chaykin showed some more new and very distinctive watches and clocks at the AHCI stand this year this year.

The first among them his Jewish time watch.  On the dial we see the time in hours and minutes, turning counterclockwise as is the custom, along with the moon phase.  The background of the dial shows some of the 10 Commandments in ancient Aramaic. On the movement side the time can be seen passing in the customary Jewish units, the helek, on 1080th of an hour, and the rega, one 76th of a helek.  The helek hand turns once a minute the dial having 18 divisions, each division one helek, the rega dial has 78 divisions.

This watch shows the time along with a Muslim calendar.

The Muslim calendar clock includes a one minute tourbillon, days, months, retrograde Muslim date, secular date, secular date and moon phase.
