Lange laser wielding technique.....
Can anyone tell me more about this technique from Lange?
If I fall in love of a lange watch which has ding and scuffs (I have yet seen the watch but I'm preparing for the worse),
Can Lange really restore the watchcase perfectly? Anyone has this experience and does one need to Specify them to use this technique instead of polishing the gold away?
Any advises are deeply appreciated

CL, from what I have heard ...
they can - you should ask Peter Chong over at the TZ Lange forum! But iirc they use the laser welding machine to fill up big dents and scratches with gold or PT and after the laser welding process the case is polished. And I faintly remember a post on TZ ...

is about to retire...but he has a new apprentice! This man is learing from the master. I saw his casemaking work in Salzburg where he was showing off his work, and it is very good....
