I'm thinking seriously about buying my first Lange, the Langematik without date function in white gold with black dial. I have been told that Lange have stopped making this watch without the date function, however, my local dealer still has one left for sale which is being held for me. I love the quality, the simplicity and the sporty feel of this watch and have totally fallen for it. I actually prefer it to the one with the big date even though it's less expensive, to me it just seems cleaner and less cluttered on a watch of this diameter. From what I have read and am told the Sax-O-Mat is meant to be one of the finest automatic movements out there. But my main reservation, having never owned an automatic watch before, is not being able to 'interact' with an automatic in the same way I can 'interact' with a self-wound watch. Before I take the plunge, your thoughts would be very much appreciated....
