Last Delivery of 2014: Gyromatic Reference 6213 B

I like to share the last watch that was delivered to our home last year.
The Gyromatic reference 6213 B in stainless steel.
It is a classic looking Gyromatic with “sun burst” silver dial, but like many of Girard-Perregaux dials the pattern doesn’t go from the center of the dial and out. It is linear from top to bottom.
Applied steel indexes, enhanced at 3/6/9/12. Steel hands with luminous. The SWISS T mark on the dial indicated that it is Tritium used, both on hands and dial.

The stainless steel case has nice proportions with beautifully curved lugs.
The case is water resistant with a screw down case back.
Inside is the GP Caliber 47 based on the ETA caliber 1256. Automatic movement (hence the Gyromatic on the dial), beating with the frequency of 18000 vph.
A couple of interesting details here are the markings on the movement. I suspect this watch was originally sold in America. If you look closely you see the GXM marking beside the balance wheel. Secondly, at the center of the rotor is says “Adjusted Swiss”.
The movement is clean and keeps very good time.
As you can see this is a very nice clean watch that would fit perfect into my collection…
There is only one catch, it is not mine!
After examining the watch he gave his approval.
This is Junior’s third GP and he is very happy with this one!
Dimensions, the watch is 31 mm in diameter – good for his wrist.
It is 39 mm lug to lug, 16 mm between the lugs and 10.5 mm high.
On the wrist it looks very classic. Still a tad on the larger side for him…
But that is good since he is growing very fast!
