Less is more?!
How often haven’t you heard a designer or an artist say these words? Many times as they were the first person on earth to say it..! I must confess that sometimes when I hear this and sees what they have accomplished, I think they are just lacy or out of ideas. But some times that expression really fits the bill. Like this example; JLC from approx 1951. I don’t know the reference for this one but it looks like an E 217 or E 326, if anybody can help me out, it would be highly appreciated. Functions; Hour, minute and sub-seconds. Case; YG 18 K, 34 mm in diameter, 7 mm high, screw on case back. Movement; It’s housing a Cal P 480/C manual movement. Pure, Simple, Genius – do you agree? Here compared with a semi-modern classic, the Master Control (old version). As you can see, a lot is still the same in the modern version of “ less is more ”. 
So, what do you think; is less really more?

You mean , I was not the first one that invented and used that sentence...
LOL..... Less is definitely more the problem is that often to content you with little. You have to have had too much until the overdosis.But to go back to your watches they are indeed a lesson with maestria on how to orchestrate as little design elements ...

yes, it gives you totally different feels...
... i only wear my MUT for some slightly formal evening function, i rarely wear it to work during daytime. AMVOX gives you more sporty feel, but it can also match well with office dress maybe because this AMVOX comes with leather strap. both are wonderful...

I think that all depends on one's perception of the term 'less'.
But to simplify the argument, yes, less is certainly more when it comes to certain watches, and this JLC is no exception. Beautiful.
