As an owner of many eccentric brands, long term service is always somewhat of a concern. However, most watches are variations on a theme: the same materials with the same relationships with a few differences here and there but nothing that would totally befuddle a competent watchmaker.
Richard Mille watches are a different animal. Their exotic materials are simply not sourcable anywhere else. For example, what happens if the carbon fiber plate in your uber-expensive RM002/2 cracks in 10 years?
Is AP/RP responsible for the service of these watches or is it Richard Mille? I obviously have more faith in AP/RP being around in the long.
Just some final thoughts as I get closer to potentially purchasing...
Thanks,
Steve
