LUC 4R Limited Edition - Is it really?
According to the Chopard's website the LUC Quattro Regulateur is available in two limited, numbered series of 250. On in YG and the other WG. Recently I've seen this same watch with slight variations in color to the dial. I was told these too are limited editions of 250.
If this is the case how many limited editions are there of this piece? Why don't these other combinations show up on their website/ Do you think this another example of the recent marketing trend to create limited editions. If Chopard's strategy is to just keep releasing the same watch with in different color combinations they should probably just lose the "limited edition" nonsense.
What do you think here?
P.S. The LUC Calibre 1.3789 with 9 day power reserve, split hour and minute hands, and adjustable day/night second time zone is awesome! The only plus to not truly being limited is more people will have the opportunity to enjoy such a great chronometer!
