Hi All, my summer holiday is wrapping up. The last few days were spent around the capitol of Spain.

Madrid is quite pretty and is an underrated tourist spot among the great Western European capitols. The only downside was the high heat during the afternoons. It is tempting to jump into the water fountains to cool down.

The street signs in the historic central area are little surprises.

I did not even get a chance to window at this Rolex AD. Walked past it after closing time.

Toledo was the big highlight of this trip.

The famous Cathedral in Toledo had astonishing art.

An excuse to show my wrist friend again.

Back into the big city for dinner. This was the best fish meal I had during the whole Spain trip. LobbyMarket on Calle Gran Via, highly recommend.

I still have to discover Toledo, which seems to be another fantastic city. Night Life in Spain was something some 20 years ago. It seems that things are quieter, now. But Spain is a top country. You just made me want to come back there. Best, Nicolas

Living in Paris, do you drive or fly to Spain?

Sadly for us, we live in the NYC area so it is 7-8 hrs and something we cannot do every year. This was our return to Spain after 5 yrs absence. I love the laid back & relaxed Spanish culture.
