My Rolex experience.
My first purchase in Rolex was a Celini, which I saw in a shop window in Geneva as I was passing through.
Until then, I thought Rolex only offered subs and explorers.
After that,I wanted to buy a Rolex as a sports watch also but the 40 mm size is for me quite small for such a watch.
Nevertheless, I made an attempt and I bought a Daytona, which I enjoyed a lot, until my wife "borrowed" it for a while and never returned it back.
After that my attention grab the YMII, but the solid yellow gold bracelet was too much for me.
So when the new YMII was released, I knew that it was going to be my new purchase.
The contrast between the blue bezel and the white dial with red and pink gold details is just superb.

Is there a lesson to be learned from your experience
Don't let your wife into your collection. Actually the opposite. It is great when your wife joins in. I have said good by to a nice Panerai and it did not stop there. Great journey and thanks for sharing it. Bill

with no luck. Now she has her eyes on my Vacheron Patrimony Contemporaine and Cartier Ballon Bleu Tourbillon (fortunately it's too big for her wrist). Aris...
