My Seiko Special trilogy for Seiko Saturday
Soon after joining Puristspro in May 2014 I was subject to an intense sensory experience here - namely finding out about and seeing the first Seiko Special in steel for a very long time - the Grand Seiko SBGH035. And while that was not my first Grand Seiko - the SBGX097 preceded it into my collection by two months - it remains one of my all time favourite watches.
Over the years I have managed to add two vintage Specials to complement it - the King Seiko 5245-6000 (a Certified Chronometer, even) and the Seiko Lordmatic 5216-8020 - one of Seikos very last Hi-Beat Specials.
So here are some recent shots of the three.
Seiko LM 5216-8020 for a start. Love the angular case and the linen dial...

The King Seiko 5245-6000 has more rounded lugs and a different linen pattern.

And finally, my point of entry - the GS SBGH035. Zen garden as opposed to linen but so very spectacular to my (admittedly biased) eyes
Have a great weekend everyone and if you’re wearing a Seiko, please share!
